Hi all,


I am a second year comp sci student at Glendale Community College. I have been 
teaching myself programming off and on for about 12 years. My path has been 
Javascript, Java, C, C++, Pascal, PHP/MySQL, Visual Basic and most recently C#. 
I've created a couple of small applets and customized a couple of open source 
programs, but this will be my first major project. 


I chose this project for a couple of reasons: First of all, since I am taking a 
Comp Sci (C++) class this semester, I wanted a project using C++. Secondly, I 
very much enjoy the galactic space sim genre. I wanted a project I could see 
myself working on long term, helping to create a game I could be proud of 
contributing to as well as enjoy playing.

I'm looking forward to working with you all to put out the best quality project 
possible.
