    Okay CVSers, development has started again and CVS is generally moving toward a stable state. I'm not asking for CVS bug reports yet, but when we're feature complete for 0.5.0 they'll be a (most likely buggy) release candidate so we can work out all the bugs for 0.5.0. Anyway, here's some things to expect, and some things to look forward to after 0.5.0:

New for 0.5.0:
* Video code enhancements (faster on many machines)
* All new UI with all new dialogs, including a new landing dialog
* Scenario support (write your own scenarios, devel docs coming soon) - including 5 scenarios
* Outfitting ship now has more options than just weapons, you can also buy ammo, maps, new shields, etc.

What's to come for 0.6.0:
* Scriptable AI via lua scripts (and thus, new and actually challening AI)
* Music and sound effects via SDL_mixer

Anyway, that's the horizon for now. Have fun watching CVS over the next week or two. :-)
